    Night fishing and lighting question

I mean I've seen bowfishing rigs, they usually have a large elevated platform on the boat. I see these lights on smaller jon rigs definitely not set up for bowfishing. Just curious at to what else they are used for if not bowfishing.

    Night fishing and lighting question

Ok so I am trying to get some clarification on something. Around where I live I see a lot of jons with offroad lights on the bow of the boat, almost like headlamps. After looking into Coast Guard regs (just to reinforce what I already assumed) it's not legal to have these lit up while underway...

    Looking for an 8-15hp Outboard

Hahahahaha, you're not a salesman are you? Just kidding! Yeah Clermont is a bit of a drive just for the motor, but I will be traveling down to Winter Haven in a couple of months to see family so if you still have it then I might take it off your hands for a fix up motor.

    Looking for an 8-15hp Outboard

6 is a little small for what I need. I've got a 14' jon with wood decks and I usually have a fishing partner with me. I think I'd need a little more power than that. Thanks though!

    1970's Johnson...worth the money?

I appreciate all the input. I politely told the gentleman I was going to pass on the motor. Guess I will keep looking. Seems to me, or at least in the area I am in, people really try to gouge you on the prices of used outboards. The motors I'm seeing on craigslist near my price range are all...

    Looking for an 8-15hp Outboard

Looking to buy a 8-15hp tiller steer short shaft outboard. Not picky about make but needs to be in good running condition. Will drive to most of GA and parts of TN, AL, FL, NC or SC if the deal is good! Cash in hand. Let me know what you have! Thanks!

    1970's Johnson...worth the money?

Thanks for all the input. I contacted the guy back and told him I was going to pass and he told me he'd take $300 for it. I guess I could check it out and see if it is in good condition.

    1970's Johnson...worth the money?

Hey all, I'm looking for an 8-15hp outboard for my jon boat. Checking Craigslist I found a 70's Johnson 9.5hp outboard and the guy wants $325 for it. It supposedly runs well but I haven't seen it yet. How much would one of these go for? He doesn't have a specific model year but said it's 70's...

    Delhi 1430 Build - Completed - New Pictures 7/13

Sorry to revive an old thread but I just wanted to upload a few final pictures of the build I completed (or as much as I have time to do these days) Still need to cover the sides with something. Took it out a lot last spring and summer and this spring. It does great! It's pretty stable for a...

    Delhi 1430 Build - Completed - New Pictures 7/13

So after taking some time off to work on other home projects I got some free time to work on the boat this week. She's coming together nicely and nearly done! After the Steelflex was done curing I installed a bow eye since I removed the handle that was previously on it. On the inside of the...

    First Home Wiring Project!

Thanks for all the info! To answer a couple of your questions the cable is Romex 14/2 with ground. There are two other rooms on the same 15 amp circuit, but we don't use one of them and the others is my 1yr old's room which she is pretty much only in to sleep. I had an electrician family friend...

    Delhi 1430 Build - Completed - New Pictures 7/13

Finally got a few hours today to put Steelflex on! I think it came out really good. I worked alone so I mixed smaller quantities of it. If anyone is wondering how much they need, mine is a 1430 and I did two generous coats of the whole exterior and used about a half gallon. Here are some pics of...
