    Should I add a filter/water separator?

From everything I can find online it's the same thread patterns and sealing surfaces so I may buy one of the filters with a bowl on the bottom and keep another filter in the boat in case of an oring leak.

    Should I add a filter/water separator?

Hey buddy, 1. I never blamed e10 2. I never had a clogged up system You seem really excited to create a narrative where people blame all their issues on e10 and I'm not one of those people, I hope your having a good time though.

    Should I add a filter/water separator?

Well it's done, leak tested on muffs and it pulled fuel with no issues. I had some pinhole leaks in the hoses under the motor cowl so went ahead and replaced those, they looked to be original (43 years old). Gas stations are mandated to buy E10 here, they're allowed to purchase non ethanol...

    Should I add a filter/water separator?

I would be interested in the at length writeup, It could sway me to travel extra miles for non ethanol.

    Should I add a filter/water separator?

I figure ethanol or not, a decent filter is going to be a good addition. Fuel could have crud in it from any step of the way. Ethanol, octane, the word "premium" doesn't stop water from getting in the gas stations tanks, which get stirred up every delivery, hopefully the filter at the pump is...

    Should I add a filter/water separator?

The Racor brand states gas, diesel, or gas oil blends. https://www.jmesales.com/racor-120a-low-flow-fuel-filter-water-separator-120a-filter-assembly-10-micron/ Looks like some of the cheap filters/bowls on amazon can't handle the gas but the head it screws into is either aluminum or SS so I...

    Should I add a filter/water separator?

I ordered the Yamaha style on Amazon for 60, then happened to see an Attwood branded one at Walmart for $25 filter and all (I will have to purchase barb fittings) and cancelled the Amazon order. It accepts the same Yamaha filters and I imagine you could either get 1/4" barbs or adapt them down...

Do you take your family out on your tin boat? Advice?

The Starcraft Fishmaster 160 (16ft) was rated for 1500 pounds and 6 people. I extended the front casting deck all the way to the console but one can still sit facing backwards on the casting deck where the front chair is pictured. Realistically I fit 4 adults comfortably for a cruise, 6 if a...

    Should I add a filter/water separator?

I like that, seeing the fuel would be nice but creates another spot to leak or suck air, Looks to be roughly the same size as the 120a. (Your filter spec is 4 3/4 inch deep, the entire 120a assembly is 6.5 inches) I'll probably go with the yamaha setup, the 120a has 5 o rings total, we're...

    Should I add a filter/water separator?

Unfortunately I do mostly purchase ethanol gas, unless I'm going to lakes that are an hour + away I don't have access to ethanol free, in practice I purchase gas with ethanol 99 percent of the time and probably run through 2 12 gallon tanks a years (I do a lot of electric trolling). I'd say...

    Should I add a filter/water separator?

I have a 1980, 85 HP johnson outboard, didn't get out much last year and at the start of this season had trouble with bad gas, everything's good now. I've started using Marine Stabil which claims to treat ethanol, I can't see that there's any filter in the cowl of this motor (other than really...

    Replacement for wood console

Actually based on the floor layout and the fact it had a factory trolling motor (I removed) it must be a 1980 fishmaster 160 https://www.starcraftmarine.com/sites/default/files/catalogs/StarCraftAluminumBoats2.1980_WEB.pdf

    Replacement for wood console

I've just about got my starcraft fishmaster 16 situated, steering is a little stiff and it's not helped the wood console. I've been thinking about doing diamond plate, starboard or a cutting board material to replace it. I suppose I could use marine plywood but I don't really want to buy an...

tire size for 16' johnboat trailer

I have a 14' semi v that was on those little 8 inch tires and I blew out about 3 a season. Roads are **** in my area especially trying to get in the backwater/small lakes down gravel roads. There are pot holes more than 8 inches deep those little tires just couldn't take it especially not if...
