I think that as long as you follow proper charging practices and keep it from freezing that you'll be happy. I still kept a relay on my setup since the battery can provide a lot more amps than the TM motor can take. Good luck!

Just an update on my Epoch 50AH in my 1436 Jon. I have an Edge 45 trolling motor. I have fished over six hour and still show 80% remaining capacity. My speed on forward 1 is almost too fast for me now. Forward 5 is very fast. Losing 40+ pounds and hiding the battery under the casting deck...

I used the FRP/polystyrene composite from my thread where you asked a question. It is flush with the middle seat and runs to the bottom of the lip of the front seat/deck. So my deck is on plane with the middle seat, giving me the longest run of deck that is flat.
