Why no replys?

Are any special tools or pullers needed to replace the seals in the gear case of a 9.9 johnson. Is this a fairly easy job? Any thoughts would be appreciated. I do have some mechanical skill.

I have a 1974 Johnson 9.9 that doesn't seem to have a place for cooling water to pee out to let me know if it is pumping water. Is this normal on a 1974 9.9 motor? Thanks for any info on this you can give me. jertho

where is the water discharge on a 1974 johnson 9.9 ? I don't see a pee stream coming out the bottom of the motor case, but it looks like maybe there is water coming out with the exaust.
