are you Locked down? lets see your projects...

Ha get your video rolling. It's been 30 years ago but I converted my sons 6v single motor car to a 12v dual motor setup. I'm still laughing about that stuff these days. His mother was feeling a little less enthusiastic about it though. haha

are you Locked down? lets see your projects...

I'm 30 miles SE of the damage at Jonesboro. We had some minor damage in our area from high winds that night but no tornadoes.

    Now canceled world-wide ...

The mayor of West Memphis AR started that for his city the other day. 9pm till 5am, no one on the streets unless they were essential in the work place, out for food, doctor, etc. I'm not sure he has the authority to do that but he's done it none the less.

are you Locked down? lets see your projects...

Looks like I'm a couple of weeks late to the party. But conditions haven't really changed for us over that time. We're not on lockdown but with all the tornadoes of late and crappy weather in general, I haven't had the boat out yet this year. I gave it a good cleaning from stem to stern...

HELP PLEASE! (I need help identifying my Manufacturer & Model Name / Number for Arkasas boat registration...

I'm not sure if they manufactured a boat that size, but back in the day, Ouachita was a popular boat brand in AR during the 50's-70's.

    Now canceled world-wide ...

Rumor mill says they're pushing the Governor to put us on lockdown in AR. I checked earlier this week and there were only a little over 500 confirmed cases in the state with only 2 of those in the county I live in. Everyone I see is doing pretty good with the whole social distance thing and the...

    Batteries

I'm a bit ashamed to say it but mine might have lasted longer if I had bothered to check the acid level once in a while. When I pulled it out I popped the caps off and could see the dry tops of the plates in 4 cells.

    10 "Old is When" Quotes

You're not getting old when your hair turns grey You're not getting old when your teeth decay But you know you're getting old when your bones start to creak And your mind makes a date that your body can't keep

    Batteries

I know some of you do not care for walmart batteries, but I have had good luck with them whether it's in my boat or on my lawnmower as long as I keep a battery maintainer connected when not in use. Just getting the boat ready to start another season of fishing when I discovered my starter...

    Daily rant---DMV fees

AR doesn't do titles on boats or trailers and the registration fee is 3 years for $7.50 (although they did make some changes to the process this year that should help cut down on boat theft). The trailer license is a lifetime of the trailer plate that cost like $8 I think (too many years ago). I...

    Hard starting 20HP Mercury

That primer system uses a diaphragm to give a squirt of fuel to the carb. If the little plunger isn't stuck (as mentioned above) it could be a busted diaphragm. So check to make sure it's actually getting that shot of fuel into the carb.

WOT RPM range for 25hp Mariner

I have what I believe to be a 1984 Japan built Mariner 25hp. I believe the stainless prop that is on the motor is the wrong size and lugging my motor at WOT. But so far I have been unable to find the recommended RPM for WOT. Currently it runs at 4580 rpm and I suspect it should be something like...

Fisher Water Rover complete rebuild - MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

I've got a 77 model water rover that is almost identical floor plan. Only real diff I see at this point is the front drink holder and trolling motor mount are on the opposite side to what mine are. I had to all but replace the transom on mine once I removed the wood and saw all the corrosion.

Short and log shaft Outboard Question

If it's a short shaft it should be something close to 15 inches from the top of the clamp where it rest on the top of the transom when mounted to the large plate just above the prop. Long shaft that measurement will be closer to 20 inches.

Need help Identifing 18 ft Jon Boat

Have you checked to see if you can find the hull ID number. Should be on the transom (usually outside right side) if it has one. May not have one if it's old enough or if someone removed it.
