    Soft or hard cooler?

I have a RTIC Soft Pack 8 that I use on my boat. It has plenty of room for a refreezable ice pack and a couple sodas and about 6 bottles of water. I usually stuff in a few granola bars too. I fish alone a bunch and it is enough room for what I need for the day. It also keeps the ice packs frozen...

Tourney series for aluminum boats ONLY!!

They used to have a series like that here too. You could run any tin as long as you had a working livewell and a kill switch. Lots of guys with glass boats also had flat bottom boats and got in too. Dont know if they still have it anymore or not but would think you could get some guys to sign up.

    Seats or no seats?

You could add a couple seat bases to the front edge of the rear platform. Then you could install a pole and seat for standing support or take the pole out and just use the seat alone for sitting down. You could also use the seat and pole on the front deck or rear deck for fishing when not...

How I added decks, storage, and floor to Alumacraft 1442NCS

Love the in floor rod storage idea, wish I would have thought of that when I did my 1648. Looks like a great boat for the smaller lakes and the Wisconsin river. Maybe I will see ya around. Good luck and tight lines.

    home made power poles

Oh yeah back to the op questions. I have built a lot of manual anchor poles and brackets, but have not attempted to go the powered route. I believe that a hinged system like the power pole system would be easier to build. The MinnKota system has a sliding pole system that would be...

KRS62's Bass Tracker Pro 17 build???

If that is the case , they are hacks not qualified welders. Or maybe they just do not want to be bothered with the job of working on a boat. If you keep looking for a good shop you will find one that does quality work. I weld everyday, and can tig weld i soda can back together after being cut in...

Maybe you should check out the Tracker transom cracking issue and what they wont do to fix it. Many unhappy Tracker 195 owners out there. They are still in business and just bought Cabelas, can anybody say monopoly.
