I finally tested the speed of my sears 12' gamefisher and my sears 7hp motor. I had retired this motor but my 2.5 merc need a part for the carb so I pulled the ole gal out for a run. She hit 15 for a split second.

3 out of 200 maybe a good number maybe not . depends alot on the river forage. I personally have had a Musky take a 10 inch smallie and lure from me as I was reaching to lip smallie. it does happen.
I use one wheel in the center of mine . it is a lot easier than 2 wheels as with 1 wheel you move it around like a wheelbarrow . my vido would explain it better

Got a little 2.5 mercury that has always run like a charm.. been pretty easy maintenance on it. Had to rebuild carb last year . anyway I store it in my building attached to a rafter so it is up right. Went in there yesterday and this motor leaked grease? all over one of my stihl chainsaw...

Ok...had this Jon for 3 years and I either run a gas motor or electric on the stern. Now I want to sometimes use a gas motor and also a trolling motor on the bow but do I need a bracket to mount on the bow? I guess I could just clamp it on but any suggestion on a plate or mount??? trolling...
Need to know if and how I can install a kill switch on an older motor. I have seen some wire out to the tiller handle but I would rather have one that pulls out. any suggestions or kill switch reccomendations (mfg #)..thanks Mack
