Stopping a run-away boat ... my attempt failed

You endangered your life and your wife's life for nothing...a boat and property...which could have put more lives at risk to help you. That's not nuts, it's stupid with a capital S. Hero's often make situations worse by playing cowboy. Luckily, your wife wasn't harmed by your brash decision...

You could have made the situation much worse with that move.

SliderG5 - Sliding Bench Boat Seat Mount

Friction stops it from moving side to side. It won't slide while you're seated and it takes a little push to slide it when you're not seated. Mine doesn't even slide when trailering down the highway yet is still easy to slide side-to-side when you want to move it or take the seat out. Really...

    The ultimate bowfishing boat?

Not really because there are a lot of places airboats won't go because they are too tall.

    Ladders... I'm using ladders.

He is using cheap folding ladders, not extension ladders. Big difference. A folding ladder is essentially a simple truss and gets its strength from its shape (triangle).

    Ladders... I'm using ladders.

    Turkey calling tips

I always recommend starting with a friction call. These are the easiest to learn. Learning to use a diaphragm on your own without a tutor can be frustrating. One tip for learning to use a diaphragm is to use your smartphone to record yourself and play it back to get a better understanding of...

    Sketchy Shallow Run

I'm likely going to an inboard RockProof with UHMW. To slow my drift I use a drift chain. I have 3 4ft sections. It doesn't work on hard bottoms though. Where did you get your pyramid from?

    Battery charger help needed.

I thought you could still find the old school analog chargers like you're talking about at auto parts stores? I bought one maybe 2 or 3 years ago.

Longtail run up the river like a Jet?

Not quite jet like, but still get you to a lot places a normal prop won't go. Pretty cool.

    Sketchy Shallow Run

Shallow, rocky, sketchy run to fish a stretch of river I've been wanting to hit for a couple of years. This run is pretty much the limit for my G3 and likely the last run I'll make on it. She's been a good boat, but I've reached the limits of its capability and there are waters worse than this...

    Tm lay down?

I stow with the prop to the side that I'm least likely to walk on. But, most people mount so that the motor is angle to the port side when stowed...I never thought that made any sense and mount mine so that it is angled to the starboard when stowed.
