A pint of spar varnish, pint of linseed oil, and a quart of thinner should do your boat. It is a great sealer.

I don't know who was the originater of otf, but they invented something great. I did a 15 ft jon with it several years ago, and after curing out. Took a piece of the boat where i removed to put in a seat base. To home depot and had floor and deck enamel mixed to match the boat. That was 4 years...

In my younger days, remember seeing homemade boats out of plywood, or steel construction. One of the most interesting was a steel boat, made by welding 2 40 ford hoods back to back. It looked like a steel canoe.

War eagles if i am not mistaken, are made in alabama. Several of my friends have them and are very pleased with them. Unless this one is worn out. Look for obvious signs if it has been abused or bent up. I believe they are a quality boat and have a good resale value. Good luck and tight lines.

Along about 2019, i installed pods on the rear of the boat. It picked up the rear 4 inches. Now i can navigate through tough obstacles. Good luck, which ever way you decide to go.

You have a very nice boat there. It has enough size and motor for you to just about do any kind of inshore angling. Congratulation on your purchase....there are lots of great ideas on this website., and people to help out with those ideas.
