I have a 14' Sea Nymph without mods and am thinking about taking my dog out fishing with me. I've been wondering if any of you have done any specific mods for your dogs, to make it safe and comfortable for them. If you have please share them.

Biggest thing for me was shade on those hot days. Boat canvass top worked for that. And, plenty of water and drinking bowl. Other than that, threw some old towels down for them to sit on. Ours weren't exactly "outdoorsy" dogs.

Many dogs dont care for the slippery metal hull to walk on, so a floor or even hust a deck with some thing easy on their feet. If sunny and hot then shade is a must, a to be with a dog should understand water and a couple treats..

If your dog likes to swim a dog ladder is probably a good idea.

Water, shade, a cool surface to walk on and a comfortable place to lay down where they aren’t missing out on the action and the average dog would be happy.

Was at an outdoor show a few years back where hunting / duck dogs were performing. Great show until one dog got a toenail caught where a rib was attached inside an aluminum boat. Ripped the toe nail when he jumped...thus anothervreason for haveing a carpet or other covered floor.
