Keeping an aluminum boat in a wet slip

Not trying to be snarky but in all honesty how long do you think wax will stay on a hull bottom cruising at 25 mph. I'm guessing maybe a minute.

    Cool Lund video

Impressive. But I have a question. Looks like the foam goes directly onto the inner side of the hull. How would one know if leaking rivets are soaking foam? I live in a freeze/thaw environment where over time this process keeps expanding and grows like a cancer.

    Picked up Eldorado today

Usually when people think of twin engines they're thinking of the advantage of maneuverability when docking and such but small outboards are not available in counter rotation. Doubling up on right hand torque removes some of that advantage and will increase port side list when on plane.

    1984 Sea Nymph CC 191 w/ Mariner 90HP

Agree, it is common to see new boats set up this way. My analogy to diving boards is a bit overstated lol.

    1984 Sea Nymph CC 191 w/ Mariner 90HP

Great that it's not hooked! Just a bit more observations, pulling the boat forward to where it's over the bunks is better than nothing but let's face it, those 2x4s are gonna act like diving boards springing up and down. Ideally you want the transom resting above the bunk supports which...

Hope they had a good time! I prefer a sofa and a large flat screen lol.

Trailer looks way short. Put a long straight edge along the bottom and check for hook. If it’s bent that’s a deal breaker for me. Hope not looks like an awesome find otherwise but I’d factor in another trailer.

Boat ramp traffic way down and fewer boats on the water?

The youth don’t want to go anymore. No WiFi on the water and sketchy cell service. They have to go dark on social media for an entire day.

Is the motor height going to be an issue?

    Nice rig.

Is the motor height going to be an issue?

Check out Nauticus Smart Tabs. This may allow you to trim the motor out a notch or two.

Is the motor height going to be an issue?

To decrease time to plane, move the trim pin on your motor closer to transom.

    1989 Star Craft SS181

I’d be worried about soaked foam and rotten interior wood. Nice find if all is well.

A quick survey who trailers their boat with the motor in gear?

A spinning prop also causes more drag. This is why long distance sail boaters lock there props when under sail. I think they have a special mechanism to do this. They can't put the motor in gear because the rush of water over the prop would turn the engine over. But...getting back to...
