as most of you know, I suffered quite a serious facial injury a few months ago.
Recovery is going as well as can be expected. the numbness on the left side of the face

I don't know what happened, but, it somehow got caught on the saw blade...

I have been in the arts and construction trade for decades. When working with tight tolerances,
we must make a pattern or template to ensure the final product is cut correctly the first time.
even minor mistakes can be extremely costly. In time and money.

Ran across this post on the WoodenBoat forum from a few years back.
The poster was looking for ways to repair this issue on his newly built wood boat.
It is Hydroteck BS-1088 Marine Plywood...... the best on the market.
He says: "the whole pile of plywood looked great, not a void in any of the...

Growing up, we hear and see the term "Marine Grade" a lot. If we don't come from
a boating family or marine environment, all we know about boats and boat products
is what we read or hear about in the boating circles that we are exposed to - without
any real life experiences or practical...
I just received my new book from Amazon, “BRIGHT WORK - The Art of Finishing Wood”
by Rebecca J. Whitman and found this little bit of new information that may be of interest
for those that like to expand their knowledge in the boating world.
Mineral spirits has been the popular thinner for...
I have used several brands of Spar Varnish over the years.
with the ever encroaching EPA regulations, some products
are suffering with their formula to still provide the "Back in the Day" quality.
The last time I used Old Masters Marine Spar Varnish was about 10-15 years ago.
it was top notch...

awhile back, a member asked if you mix aluminum powder
with epoxy - could you fill a dent in a polished aluminum

it is gray...

I am currently removing a few loose layers of assorted paint types from
my boat with an assortment of tools and gadgets.
This is a short video to evaluate the tools used. The 3M...
