    New Lowe 1448 modifications

Fish it as is for at least 1 full season. See what’s really missing for the type of fishing your going to do. You don’t want to drill holes in a new boat only to realized you should of organized things differently. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Converted my trailer from rollers to bunks

    Hercules brand braided line

I use a similar type, from Amazon on my surf rod. The colour does fade, some of it came off on my reel. Never had a issues with strength, I cast 2-6 or weights. Line diameter is thicker than more expensive 8 stand braid, thinner than mono. Never noticed any major frays, only where I cut the...

    Ugly stik USSP601H

I’ve ordered rods from them in the past. Came well packaged, never had a issue. Even paying duty and shipping is was cheaper than most store around here in Nova Scotia, Canada. And better selection. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Would you run this prop?

I’d run it. Mine looks worst than that. As long as it’s not causing a vibration, run it. Obviously a new prop would help performance, probably not enough to notice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Motor height options.

I think your right it’s sitting a little too low. Maybe just add a small spacer but by lifting it your only gaining a few MPH and a little more shallow draft. If neither of those a critical to you than you would be fine leaving it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Beginners guide to modding a boat?

If your decking the boat I’d put 2 under the front deck and 1 in the rear Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Beginners guide to modding a boat?

3 batteries seem like a lot for a small boat unless your running a 24v trolling motor and a 12v system for other things ( live well, lights, fish finder, etc ) If you have to run have/want to run 3 batteries I’d consider spreading the weight out. You don’t want all the weight in the stern or...

Beginners guide to modding a boat?

Use the boat as is. Figure out if there are any leaks, if the transom is good, if it’s stable enough to stand comfortably on a casting deck, if you add weight to it will it plane. When I started my project I thought I knew what I wanted the more I use the boat the more the project changes...

    Scrap or Save

Hard to tell by the pictures. But it’s a hull to start with so I’d save it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Recs for children's life vests?

Dale is right. I use to work surf rescue a few years back. You want a life jacket. Life jackets are designed to turn onto its back and keep the face out of the water. And life jackets are usually more buoyant than PFD. The handle makes it easy to pull kids back aboard as long as they are...

Mercury 9.9 four stroke rpm questions

Is it getting up on plane? Once up on plane your motor will have less resistance and will climb in rpm. Hydrofoils are an option if you can get it to plane. My personal experience is with a Princecraft Yukon 15 and a mercury 4stroke 15hp. It would plane without hydrofoils if I had minimal...

    How Much Time?

I live in a city commonly called city of lakes. The is a dozen boat launches within 30 min, almost all on different lakes. I’ve never had to travel for fishing. Now hunting I travel at least 2 hours. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Princecraft Yukon 15

So here is the plan for the future, when I get more funds. The boat is very stable so I’m not concerned about the raised deck. I might add a seat near the bot but I’m still undecided. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Princecraft Yukon 15

So it’s been a while since I’ve had the opportunity to update my build. I’ve been away for work for the last 4 1/2 months. Work keeps getting in the way of my hobbies. I got the electrical panel sorted out and put back in. It’s raised off the bottom on the boat by almost 3 inches so even if I...

    Non-Built in storage?

I use a few milk crates for tackle. And a bucket for anchor. You could probably do the same with life jackets, I’d still put them away when towing but at least it’s just a few crates. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    installed onboard charger

So 29 hours max. From dead to full charge. I’d try charging it only connected to the battery (nothing else) see if it will show as full charge. If it does means charger and battery are good. Does your electrical have a master off? If not it is possible that one or a few of your accessories is...

    installed onboard charger

How many amps is your starting battery? And how long has it been charging? 70amp battery with 10 amp charger should take 7 hours max (assuming it’s completely dead) Odds are the battery is bad. Check the voltage on the battery when it’s not on the charger. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
