    Jet motor raising question

I moved the motor up to the last hole. It’s definitely looking better but not even with the grate pin. Hopefully I get to run it this weekend and see if I notice any improvements.

    Jet motor raising question

For reference, I just got the impeller sharpened and the foot back on. The T square is flat along the hull and the leading edge of the foot is about 3/4 of an inch too low now. I think the boat should perform a little better up one hole, hopefully. The center keel sits right in front of the foot...

    Wetlander hull coating opinions

Just curious if anyone has applied the wetlander hull cover on their jet boats and what their thoughts are on this product? I’ve seen some reviews on this product and others as well but this one has my attention Thanks

    Jet motor raising question

That 60/45 jumps on plane so quick compared to my previous Tohatsu 50/35 4 stroke. I’m not overly concerned with top end speed, just getting it set up correctly. My cousin has a James river jet with uhmw hull and a 90/65 2 stroke and isn’t much faster than my boat, like 26 mph upriver

    Jet motor raising question

I’ve got a 98 model. Love the 2 strokes. What kind of speed do you get up river with gear and two dudes?

    Jet motor raising question

The top two holes in the transom are above the water line but the bottom two are right at the water line so I’ll definitely have to seal those two up. I only have one set of holes left to raise the motor without increasing the transom height. Honestly the boat runs pretty good but I’d like to...

    Jet motor raising question

I am getting ready to raise my motor on hole but have never mounted a bolt thru transom motor before. There appears to be a sealant on both sides of the transom at the nut and bolt head. What’s the best way to remove this? Also what type of sealant should I used once I mount the motor again...

    Jet pump info help

Thanks I actually found out on some the older pumps the ID is stamped in the housing vs a tag

Any experience running fast shallow Appalachian mountain rivers...

I run the new and James river in VA. My boat is a war eagle stick steer with a 60/45 jet. I can run most sections is the river but where there are stair stepped ledges. On plane, I’m running in inches of water. I’ve never measured but I’ve clinched my butt checks many times. Here’s a few...

    Jet pump info help

I bought a 1998 mercury 60/45 late last fall. I would like to replace the liner and impeller but don’t see a tag on the foot or pump to order the parts. Anybody know the specs for this pump? Thanks

    Tohatsu 60/40 jet

I had Tohatsu 50/35 4 stroke and it performed very well. I’m sure their 60/40 is good 2 go

    Thinking of adding a tunnel

I bought a late 90’s war eagle 16 with a 45 Merc jet. The boat gets on plane quick and seems to run pretty skinny. However, I’m interested in getting a tunnel installed. I run the James and New rivers in VA and rock ledges are always a concern. I know most of the waters I fish pretty well but...

    Part identification

Does anyone know the name of the part circled red in the picture? It’s a threaded nut with a grease fitting on a stick steer motor that slides through the fitting. The seal blew out the fitting so it will not hold grease now.

    Jet boat gurus

I bought a used jon with an outboard jet. The boat gets on plane really quick and very minimal splash at the transom. But, with a straight edge, it looks like the foot is 1 inch too low. I can raise the motor one hole which should be about an inch. Should I go ahead and raise it one hole?

    Mercury 2 stroke 65/45 jet

Anybody got any feedback on these older two stroke motors. I got two used boats I’m looking at. One has a 4 stroke 60/40 and the other has a 2 stroke 65/45. I like the boat with the 65/45 better but the motor is about 10 years older, which really doesn’t bother me but wanted to see what the...
