Hello. I have a 1986 Johnson outboard, 20 HP, 20 inch shaft. It needs the lower unit replaced. I think I can use 20/25/30/35 HP lower units, but I’m not sure what years are compatible with my ‘86. Anybody know?

If the only thing uncomfortable about your present setup is the seats, why not swap out the seats and see how you like it? I tend to do one thing at a time. Then let the dust settle for a bit. But, eventually, l come up with a new things I want to do. It never ends!

The 100s have a backrest. Not sure about the 200s.

The millennium boat seats are pretty comfortable. I switched to them last year and have found them better than any seats I’ve used in the past.

Those Speedy Shiner spoons look a lot like the Mooselook Wobblers I use. I’ve caught a ton of trout trolling them, both on flat lines early in the season and on lead core set ups into the summer.
