Really , they're just added blocks , glued & screwed to the 2 center bunks to keep the boat from rolling or sliding back during docking. I guess it helps when you stand up and walk to the front to tie off to the wench. It was a suggestion offered but I don't really know how necessary they will...

I've thought on that long and hard. At least from the start. But , it didn't come w/ them and decided to forgeaux them for now , just to get her in the water. I thought about it again when getting her titled at the Sheriffs office but , I'll wait and see how much trouble it becomes in regular...

    Paint Stripper ?

Went to the Sheriffs office to create title doc. for the trailer yesterday. The girl behind the counter told me I had to geaux to the State Police in Alexandria (hour & a half drive). But there was a State Trooper in the back who heard the exchange and called me back. Seems he's the guy that...

I found a product on Amazon for the top rail. (white in my case) But it's like a thick medium soft cap that has really good 3M adhesive but I used the best bead of adhesive on it anyway. I thought it would keep the edge fresh looking for a very long time. You can purchase in different colors and...

Of course gratitude comes from you. One of the most inspiring ppl I've seen online. The efforts & patients , the research and thoroughness in your work , the documentation (descriptions, photos, daily desires & why fors) & overall good example of how to approach an issue from 40,000 ft, as it...

It's really looking good sonny1. Nice and smooth. I noticed the split lip above the transom w/a small section missing ?? I had a split in that alum. lip but had an alum. angle welded on full length from the gunnel handle to gunnel handle laid down w/ the vertical dropping on the inside. It...

I think you're a very humble man, but I do agree, Common Sense gets us through some of the most complicated or confusing situations if you use it !!

Oh, that sounds fine !! Very hard wood. I might like the look of Red vs White Oak in cabinets and wood projects, although in this case it will be sandwiched and won't really be seen. But , it will be nice to know it's there, supporting everything. I had to cut an 80yr old Red Oak w/diameter...

Really coming around swell. My gosh you did quite of job on the bottom inside transom track. Looks brand new !! I didn't get the boat w/ that alum. outside transom plate. Mine came w/ a wooden outside transom. I thought it might be original so I copied the pattern out of the Wenge. I guess...

I love it !! :) lol :) I used Swiss Miss for my chocolate additives as an adult, but Nestle's was in the cabinet as a kid. I use the almond milk for mixing my raw meal w/ a splash of French Vanilla Coffee Creamer. But I'm glad I can still drink Milk. My bones and teeth are strong at 60 yrs...

I found some affordable mixer paddles that attach to drill motors and are really good at mixing paint, epoxy & resins of all sorts. They are heavily reusable. If it's not too late ... Check here : https://tinyurl.com/mrwk292z

Although I quit eating Sherbert (for the most part) I use the old containers for this and other uses. They're long lasting if you've kept them climate controlled and they have tight lids.

Thanks for the kind words LDUBS. That was back when I was practicing photo processing and took the best of shots , put in order to show the general unfolding of it. I'm not really tech. inclined and it took many hours of effort to complete. But , it really solved the ability to share my...

I drove up to Paduka Indiana, just across the Ohio river from Kentucky to see the Total Eclipse of 2017. I spent 3 days at a truck stop. Called and spoke to the manager before I left to ask permission and she said under one condition, ... , that I share the photo's I got from the experience ...

The side bracket on the transom was originally attached w/ 3 bolts & nuts (steel) on the transom leg and 4 alum. solid rivets on the side leg. I had to cut the bolts off w/ a grinder they were so rusted (like every bolt I replace) and replaced w/SS bolts & nylon insert lock nuts. But , I did...

Well, i'll be 60yrs young this month and always wanted to weld. I got a really good deal on a brand new Lincoln 180i , so I've been welding everything I could. I did get the U-Bolts w/the guide kit but weren't long enough to reach the bottom of the scrap piece of "C"-channel I got for the...
