What screws to bolt down pedestal base, and board on seat? ?

Since it's a blind hole install, consider well nuts or jack nuts. I've used 'em on a small glass skiff I had, seemed to hold pretty well when I had to "fix" a loose seat mount when I had that hull.

What screws to bolt down pedestal base, and board on seat? ?

If you have access to the area under the metal seat, I would use machine screws with washers and locknuts to attach the carpeted board to the metal seat, and then use flat head screws/washers/locknuts to attach the seat pedestal with these screws going thru both the carpeted board and the metal...

    Terrova Battery Life

What are you expecting if trolling at "full speed"?? If full speed is a prop speed of 10, a couple of hours sounds about right. If you need to go at a prop speed of 10 for your style of fishing, might consider getting a kicker motor or a drift sock and use the OB you have.

Fishing line wrapped between prop and housing

Depending on make and model there are some seals/gaskets/o-rings, just make sure no damage or cuts, etc to those.

Can anyone tell me about a 2009 Tracker TX 17 Pro's and Con'

I had a 04 PT175 with a 60 2s. It was butt heavy at rest with a grp 27 TM & 24 cranking batteries in the stern. The gas tank is back there as well. The 40 will be adequate but that's about it. With a full tank of gas, the 40 will be sluggish. The 55# TM will do good at controlling and...

    25hp Mercury 4stroke questions

The tohatsu and zuki are both lighter in total weight so that may help. I've read lots of positive comments on both brands in the 25 and under motors. New OB's are not cheap, but they can be worth the $$ spent when they start and run everytime you go to the water. I've never had one that...

    Crappie fishing

I've been on 2 different lakes 2x's each, one trip was feast and the 2nd was a bust on each lake. Just a few days apart on the trips as well. TVA is messing with the lake levels as well, one lake had been raised 2' for some reason from winter pool.

    Battery Question

Take the boat and batteries to the lake before you mount them, along with your normal load of gear for a typical day for you. See how the boat sits/runs/fishes with the batteries in different positions. It may take more than one trip to sort out the best solution for you and your boat.

Remove motor or not for electric only

Ask the game and fish guys what is required for the electric only areas. Maybe you could just remove the cranking battery so it could not be use, or just disconnected from the battery. Here in TN, electric only means you don't have to remove the big OB, just don't use it.

    Electronics Without Electric Start

A U1 size or riding lawn mower battery should power the FF/GPS/lights for the 4-6 hrs you mention w/o issue unless it's one of the latest & greatest units which would reduce the run time. This size would NOT run a TM. You would need to charge this battery up after each trip but a decent smart...

    Minkota Edge 45 wiring

No issue. Just use a quality crimp connector that will handle both sizes of wire when making the connections. Don't forget to install the correct size breaker close to the battery on the positive side of the wiring.

Obituary of anyone you know?? Miserable SOB...

I think I've been around one or two of those type guys. My hat is off to the daughter for writing it like it was. Sorry the family had to endure that, but now they can have a happier life.

    Amazon Fire Tablet

I bought one when they first came out for $99, good for reading books, never watched movies on it, use it to surf the net on occasion, or use to until I bought a Lenovo 10 tablet at wally world around Christmas for $69 on sale. I think the Lenovo 10" tablet is under $100 now, so... No real...

    Choosing a trolling motor battery

There are only a few makers of batteries, and those few make all the different brands you see and hear about. No first hand knowledge but I would assume they are all about the same in component quality except for the really really cheap ones. Each retailer has their own spec's but there are...

Did you know a float/trickle charger can KILL your battery?

I've used BatteryMinder brand for several years after a "BatteryTender" ruined/killed a motorcycle battery over the winter. BatteryMinders are on my RV/boat/mower/yak batteries when they are not being used.
