    1962 18hp Evinrude- no spark

The .020 measurement is an approximation to use if you don't have a timing tool. With the timing tool, the points should open (turn off a continuity light attached to the points) when the pointer crosses the marking on the magneto plate.

I didn't think Mercury went to black until the early sixties (first "tower of power"), and that in the late 50's they used a number of colors: https://www.fiberglassics.com/forum/mercury-outpost/99070-mark-75.html#99088

Another place that makes old logos is bigdsigns.com, but it looks like...

Given that most boats had "lapstraking" by the mid 1960's I looked more closely at the 1959 catalog (the first year I've seen that logo), and I noticed in my 1959 catalog: https://www.ultimate.com/aerocraft-boats/91959/c/1959-p08.jpg The top photo for the L-12 and N-14 has the same kind of bow...

I've never anything like it, especially the built-in handles. The earliest I've seen that logo is the 1959 catalog, and starting in the early 60's most aluminum boats were "lapstraked". After 1972 a hull ID would have been required.

The serial number is likely to be stamped on the top right of the stern (where a modern Hull Id Number would be)

    14 ft Aero Craft QD

I've been collecting AeroCraft info & photos at https://www.ultimate.com/aerocraft-boats/ I agree 1955 thru 1957 seems most likely. What is the serial number on the tag?

    Help a fella out

Model "G" was used (at least) from 1949 thru 1967 for flat 12' boats, but yours looks like an older one from the lines and the serial plate, I'd say mid 50's or earlier. I'm collecting AeroCraft photos and info at https://www.ultimate.com/aerocraft-boats/ I'd love to have larger copies of your...

    Aerocraft duckboat

The catalog entry says the FP-12 has "pole wells fore and aft" I don't know what that means, except it sounds like the boat is the same at both ends!

    Aerocraft duckboat

The duckboat photo at duckboats.net is identified as a model F. Blue book entries at fiberglassics show that in 1958 there were two duckboat models made: F-12 and FP-12 with identical specs: Len: 12' Beam: 52" Wt: 104# Max HP: 10 There are no duck boat entries for later years, but I haven't...
