    hauling your boat

I guess it depends on if you're trying to transport the boat, or use it as a propulsion sail. 😁 ;) Just sayin'.....Roger

Brazing L to aluminum boat side

I don't see how you could have seen what you described. Brazing involves brass rod and iron-based metals, and includes temperatures that will melt aluminum. What you may have seen is the use of those aluminum/zinc "welding" rods that can be used to attach aluminum to aluminum, and the metals...

Free Help ID! Cant seem to figure out who made this boat.

"We" are going to need more pics than just that one. A shot or two of the interior, close-ups of the bow tie plate, the transom knee braces, how the seats attach to the hull. Might there be a HIN plate? (Usually, starboard rear, either inside or outside the transom." A shot of the rear (while...

    10 HP restriction lakes?

Read up on gun law, and in particular, the challenge to the BATFE about their "laws". Many of them are actually "rules", that carry the weight of law, but Congress never had a finger, let alone a hand, in the making of them. I don't think that the Supreme Court has decided if it'll see the...

    Fishing License

Ok, then. It's just that the statement was a little open-ended to those of us who didn't know that about you. Roger

    Fishing License

Ummmmmm. You might want to clarify that last sentence. I trust you're not looking at "disabling" yourself. Just askin'.....Roger

    Fishing from shore

Uh-HUH! And have any of you, while out fishing, stood up and taken a leak into the lake? I'd be willing to lose a $10 bet that there HAS been "human contact" with all of those reservoirs. I will give them all credit for trying, though. Humans ain't all that great.....Roger

    Fishing from shore

LD; I suggest this needs a bit of clarification. You can rent a boat, but not launch it?! Or is it a case of launching ONLY the rental boats? If the latter, then it's not a legally standing contract. The reservoir would be funded by taxpayers, and that makes it public access, or no access...

    Fishing from shore

Just make sure to stash your stuff above the tide mark. My buddy lost everything to a rogue wave 2 months ago. (Yes, in Florida.) Tackle, cell phone, wallet, even the car keys. Sucks when nature, fate, or karma smites thee. Roger

What have you been up to lately?

Got one comin'. Yeah......I suspect it'll be the finger work that will give me problems. At least, at 66 years, I don't have any arthritis symptoms, so using the digits won't be an issue. Sorta the same thing when I was bowling. The eyes and brain could see what needed to be done, but...

What have you been up to lately?

And as a half-assed luthier, I admire your ability to make something other than random noise out of a string instrument. I'm kinda looking into some lessons 'round these parts, if they aren't too expensive. Roger

What have you been up to lately?

I've went off-topic. Recently developed an interest in string instruments, (Banjo, Ukulele, Guitar), but home-built from "alternative" materials. First effort is a "travel uke". Yeah.....there's a few woodworking faux pas, but the memory is starting to dig up my woodworking skills. Here it...
