There are two compartments that i want to put a flat floor in and Im still not sure how I want to approach it just yet. The back compartment is pretty flat. The front compartment has some V. The pic doesn't show much but if I put a 15inch wide straight edge in line with the seat it drops 3 inches from it's underside. Im thinking if I go that wide with 1/2 or 3/4 ply it shouldn't need any bracing underneath. 3 coats of spar and wrap with indoor/outdoor. They would both be approximately 48 inches long. I fish in brackish water so I would probably remove them after each use to dry. I wouldn't want the salt water logged carpet sitting on the aluminum all the time. Would marine vinyl be better for this? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am wanting to do this because the rivets trip me up all the time. Plus I have a wireless pedal for the trolling motor and it sits funny so it is clumsy to use.
