15 HP surprising power

Serviced a customer's Mercury 15 HP tiller motor and put it on the new-to-me Tracker 1648. Was shocked at how fast it got on plane and she ran up to about 22-23 MPH. Didn't expect that little motor to be that strong, especially a 4-stroke.

A flat bottom will scoot right along without much power. Not as much surface area in the water. That does sound like a sweet running little engine though.
