Last year I did a redo on an old 14' Starcraft that my dad had bought 25 years ago when I was a kid. The boat had been starting to fall apart so I tried to think about all the complaints I ever had when fishing and used that for my design and inspiration. I spent a ton of time on this site when I was working on this, so i thought I'd post and share my ideas just how I benefited from viewing those of others.

What I wanted that I got done:

-New Floor
-Casting decks in both front and back of boat
-Removal of old back breaking bench seats and spots for 3 pedestal seats.
-Fresh coat of paint and a new look on the outside.
-Bow Mounted Trolling motor
-Livewell and aerator
-Lights there were permanently fastened - LED strips in front, tiltable pole light in back
-Custom hatch to fit cooler in boat for drinks
-Stainless steel bar bottle open
-Stainless steel cup holders
-Bluetooth stereo and 2 speakers.
-Magnetic strip to hold loose lures during an outing.
-Electric anchor winch (w/ freefall feature) so no more soar hands
-Rod locker with extra rod storage on outside of locker.
-4 Mounts to easily attach and detach rod holders for trolling and drifting
-Electrical Panel
-Built in bilge pump so now more bailing!

What I didn't get done yet that I have considered:
-Sun umbrella holder
-Holder for metal posts to have a hammock under the umbrella
-Control of anchor winch from back of the boat
-Installation of a headlight.

Good job. Did you use marine led strips or the bulk indoor/outdoor off the roll for your front lights?
