Afternoon Everyone. Im in the process of rebuilding my Crestliner. Total rebuild, Again. In the past I used what I could find and I made it work. This time I saved some money up and got the materials to get it done right and how I want it done. But will need some help along the way. Going to try and post a few pictures of the boat befor I started. The reason for the rebuild is it was lagging bad in the rear of the boat. Just kept getting slower on every trip. And just never really happy of the past rebuild. So we got to looking and the wood in the transom was soaking wet and rotted, So we stared tearing into it. Man what a job getting it out. after a few smashed fingers and a lot of cuts, 5 hours later it was out. We had the back deck out so we decided to look at the foam in the seats on each side. Looked dry enough until my buddie took a wooden dowel and plunged it into the foam. Came out dripping with water. So out came all the foam. So after relieving the Catliner of about 150lbs of wet wood, foam and excess water here we are , ready to start putting it back together. Oh and I learned after the fact. I got the new sheets of plywood for the transom cut out and fitted just right. Then I found out treated plywood is a no no for aluminum. a buddy told me about this. He read it on Tinboats. So here we are going to go get new untreated plywood this coming week and hopefully get her back together in a week or so .

What is you plan on foam replacement. I am considering tearing mine apart and that is a concern for me that I have not figured out yet. Thinking of going with the liquid foam.

Thanks
