adding a bow mounted trolling motor

I have a 2014 Alumacraft V16 and the bow has the small aluminum brace (triangle). How are you guys mounting a trolling motor? Should I have the small triangle replaced with a bigger on that would accommodate the TM or can I make a would one to bolt on top? I will try and get a pic but bpat is still sleeping

I just mounted to the small aluminum frame.

Motorguide had numerous hole locations, so easily got all 4 required bolts installed.

Also made sure one bolt went through the gunnel (I think that’s what it’s called).

There is also the option of a quick release mount ( I know minn kota has one). From that you could add extra bracing if required. Maybe go Gunnel to gunnel with a piece of aluminum angle to pick up the back side of the quick release mount.
