[QUOTE="SC Designs, post: 428143, member: 20199"] Stick steer is pretty simple and straight forward. Its the steering out of the ski just mounted in a horizontal position. Used a piece of straight 7/8" outside diameter conduit pipe put into the clamps on the steering bar. The diameter matches the factory handle bars. Everything is retained as far as steering components from the ski. I have built 3 Jetjons using yamaha skis and their steering system is easy to modify. Now on my other tracker build that is mine, it has a Kawi Ultra 150 engine with 145hp. The Kawi. steering on that ski was a large bulky system that wasn't going to work in the same manner. So I basically built my on. Just took the conduit, came up from the bottom about 6" and drilled a hole for a 3/8 Bolt to go through, left about 20"s above the hole. The hole served as the pivot point. Made a base mount with two pieces of 2" angle. Drilled a hole through the angle and mounted the pipe in between. now the pipe pivots front and back. attached the steering cable at the base of the pipe and walla, stick steer has been created.
