I know it needs some work and thats not a problem. I am going to make it livable for this year and then go through it this winter....

Tell me what you think....

It's solid but the benches make it that way.I would remove the sealant around the benches. That lets the water flow to the back. It's a little narrow to deck.I would floor it,carpet the floors and benches.I still don't recognize the manufacture, but the Gamefisher Jons are very simiular.

I have a '78 12' Delhi. I have had it for over 15 years. I gave a guy $25 for it. Mine has a pretty thin hull and I've broken every rib in it, but I fix it and keep using it. I've taken it everywhere. I even had a rack on my pop-up camper that I would put it on. I called it my "pond hopper". I liked it because I could throw it in the bed of my truck by myself. I found some info on them years ago and I'm trying to find it for you.

I've searched and I can not find any info either. I know that they went out of business years ago or sold out.

Delphi Jons were made in Delphi. Louisiana from 1950 to 1980's(I believe). When Tracker/lowe(??) Boats purchased the business and used Delphi's designs in their first jon boats(incorrect). I did have an article found on the internet about it. I want to say tracker bought them out. I will look and see about it tonight.(incorrect)

i do know, they where built in Louisiana.

***EDIT***

I was mistaken. Delhi jon boats made in Louisiana not Delphi. i can not find any info on Delphi jon boats. But after looking at your photos you have a Delhi. so, you have a tinboat made in the great state of louisiana

But here is an article from tracker boats on how they got started making alum tracker boats.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I was the one that made the mistake.... You got me on track. At least I know something about this boat now. Going to be doing a test run on her Sunday. Have to work Saturday... :(

Well picking up the boat from its former owner tonight and taking it home. Did the Ga Registration for my lunch break and just chomping at the bit to get out of here and get the boat!!! I think the wife is more excited about it than I am, Dont know how that can be though!!!!!

thats great! Maybe all of us GA boys can get together and fish the same waters sometime when you get it ready to go

Sounds like a plan to me. Would like to get together with a few from this site and wet a few lines. Until that can happen, stay safe out there.

Wolf.

I have a 1982 14 footer

I have only had it about 6 months but I like it pretty good so far. Mine is pretty bare I have been looking at this site quite a bit trying to get some ideas about what all I can and need to do to it.
