Hello everyone, I just picked up a noko 3 bank battery charger. The leads that I need to reach the battery I have in the bow are going to be too short. The factory leads on the charger have ring terminals and I’m afraid if I cut them off I will void the warranty (hopefully never need it but not worth the risk with my luck) I have 16 gauge wire that I would butt splice to make the length but should I bolt 2 sets of ring terminals together? I’m at a loss for what I would need maybe like a two spot ring terminal block I guess?? I don’t know what I’m looking for

Not the same charger but I extended the leads on mine by bolting the rings together, then wrapping the bolts and rings with a rubberized electrical tape.

The extension I made was on a 16ft deep V bass tracker so the extension was about 16 to 18 ft. I used 8ga wire for the extension.

I would not use 16ga wire it most likely is not heavy enough to carry the current. How long the extension need to be round trip and the amount of current the charger is putting out will dictate the size wire you need. I personnaly would not use anything under 10 ga.

see this link for wire size, length and amps. Work off of the 3% drop chart.

for the ring terminal you most likely need something like this

I used google to find the above by searching "1/4 ring terminal 10 awg) or you may need "5/16 ring terminal 10 awg" depends on what size the stud on your battery is.

Hope that helps
