Here is my new to me :LOL2: 2003 Tracker Grizzly 1648. The older man that I bought this boat from had health issues and only put a couple tanks thru the Merc 25 hp ELH. He also did not like the foot controlled trolling motor ( really ). This boat was put in a large shed around 2005 and I bought it form him in August for the smoking deal of $1.600.00 for the boat, motor, trailer, trolling motor and some boating stuff.

I will post more after this weekend. Installing seats, storage, depth finders and livewell.

That's a sweet deal! Just the boat itself cost more than that brand new, trust me I should know I wanted one.

Good looking rig, man!

What are you plans for such a NEW item?

Talons

Ok it was a rain out weekend :( , so I got the boat all together and alot of work was done :D . From rerouting new wirirng to the front ( that old passage from factory was a joke #-o ) to putting in the seats and depth finders along with the really cool removable storage box. The easiest part was the new cooler/livewell set up.

Someone asked what the plans were for this boat, well fishing would be the easy answer. But seriously I bought this boat to use for river fishing for Bluegill, Crappie, Bass, Walleye, Catfish, Spoonbill and Musky.

The other purpose is for some Duck/Goose hunting this winter.

Totaled up the the cost of modifacation to this boat is only $900.00. This to me is a pretty cheap modification price. Hope this gives someone ideas for thee next project. Feel free to ask any questions.

Talon,
I think this is what your asking about. The custom bow peices are for the cover and when you leave them in the heat the plastic will conform to the shape that fits your boat. The bows are stiff the first time but when you leave them for a couple of days the stay to that shape.

If you swamp your boat, do you think the fender washers/screws will hold as the foam tries to support the weight of the boat/motor?

I just finally installed and got to try out my Elite 4 this past week. I've had them for nearly a year just sitting on a shelf. I bought 1 Elite and 2 Mark 4's on sale for use on two different boats. Awesome units, especially over my old Hummingbird 2000 and 4000's from the 80's :LOL2:

Sweet rig man! Definitely agree with everyone else....you stole it at that price! Even after the mod cost!
