will you be bending it at any place along gunnel? Just curious if it will bend to the arc of bow area.

No it won't bend unless heated; or taken to a muffler shop, they bend all sorts of metal. I am going to mock mount track closer to stern and see how far I can go without bending.

Here are a couple of pics of the bow mounted T track. I bent it into place using C clamps and then drilled / tapped 8-32 flat head machine screws into the inside part of gunnel. I plan on adding track section on both sides of boat to near transom.

Tinman, Nice job fitting the track to the curve of the gunnel. That came out really well. Looks like it belongs there. Where the T-track ends up towards the bow, you can use a T-track end cap. If you want to leave it open so you can slide stuff on/off, it can be cut at an angle to prevent snags.

Have any of you tried using some aluminum "C" channel to sit on top of the gunnels? That would give you a flat surface to work with.
