Spring might finally be here for us in the NorthEast. :) Warm weather predicted for the full week, which should warm the river up nicely. In addition, no rain expected, and predicted levels should be near 6' mark, which is my favorite level. :) That also means our normally muddy conditions, will have decent clarity. Winds are predicted to be light, too.

Keeping my fingers crossed, in hopes for the predictions to come true. I hope others will be out getting their boats wet and lines tight. :)

Sometimes, predictions come true. We had our highest numbers, ever! 183 (99/84) smallies over the two days. :) :) :)

Thx.

Water temps started at 56 and rose to 60, each day. We "cooked" a bit on Friday, but I was able avoid the "burn". I ussually end up looking like a reverse racoon after the first nice weather outings.

It was a perfect pre-spawn storm. A week ago, they were still near their wintering holes. They will be spawning by next week. We won't be back at it for three weeks. It will be post spawn then, but we'll have other options, like walleye and northerns.

Fishing, for the most part, is why we tweak and mod our boats. :)
