Ok I have a 12 foot jon boat ,so trying to come up with an idea on keeping down weight .

I have a min Kota 55lb trolling motor I want to run . I'm thinking that should be on a dedicated big marine battery in the back .

Here's what else I want to run so maybe someone can come up with some ideas . I have a bait tank that that's a 500gph bilge pump for circulation to run constantly .
NAV lights ..
Fishfinder(pretty much run continuously)
Livewell pump/aerator
Bilge pump in back if needed
------------------------------------
(Random run stuff ie not continuous )
Stereo
Maybe inboard led lights to see what I'm doing
Overboard crappie light

My idea was I could put 1 big battery in back of boat and 2 smaller batteries up front like atv or lawnmower type batteries . My question is how big batteries would I need to say run overnight or for the weekend ?

Any ideas ?

This is pretty simple.

Figure out how many amps your draw will be. So add up the amp draw of each of the devices.

You will need a battery that stores that many amp hours.

If a battery has a 100 amp hours, you can draw 100 amps for 1 hour, or 1 amp for 100 hours, or any where in between.
