I have an apex marine gamefisher 1436 Jon boat from academy. I am putting a side console on it, and am torn between a 20hp and 25hp Suzuki. Also, I want to know if I need a 15 or 20 inch. Thanks in advance.

Measure from the outside top of the transom to the bottom of the keel. If close to 15" then short shaft. If close to 20" then long shaft. Like this:
