Hey folks,
Just joined cause I found a 12 ft Mdl P for a price I couldn't pass up.
Couple of questions for you folks who have one or have restored one.
Were the interiors painted? Mine has what looks to b 2 coats of blue paint which has to come off cause its peeling .
I can find no numbers anywhere on the hull. I have an engraved plate from the Outboard motor association on the wooden dash which states the max motor size and the weight limit for the boat. 17.5 for the motor and 661lbs . On the transom is a small tag that ID's the model as a Model P.
The hull is in good shape no leaks and the aluminum is some of the thickest I have seen out side Military craft.
So any suggestions on how to date the boat?
Colors ,was there a Shade of blue that they painted the front deck?
