I have a 1974 Johnson 9.9 that doesn't seem to have a place for cooling water to pee out to let me know if it is pumping water. Is this normal on a 1974 9.9 motor? Thanks for any info on this you can give me.

Yes it does. Exits with the exhaust. You can add one to it if desired. Not needed.

Thank you very much. I have a factory service manual and that is what I thought it indicated, but I wanted to be sure. I am 79 years old and this is my first outboard motor.
