So instead of modifying an aluminum and trying to turn it into a bass boat, you would just buy a bass boat. But you will find alot of people on here that really like aluminum and would prefer it over a fiberglass bass boat, so its just my opinion. I have modified aluminums and I never really feel comfortable to move around when standing. So recently I just got an old 16ft fiberglass boat for free that im going to gut and turn into a bass boat. I think its gonna turn out good and be real stable. You can do alot with your 16ft jon. Go through and look at everybodies mods then pick and choose what you like and make your own.

Good luck

Travis
My guess would be because a 16 ft boat is quite a bit more valuable than the 12 or 14ft. If you are going to spend the money to get a boat thats 16 foot your right under the range of a good used bassboat. Good luck Travis
