THE SWAMP DONKEY- New Pics Paint/Floor/Electrical

I had about a 1/2 inch between my boat and my fenders, after thinking about 4x4's and modifying my fenders, I just turned my 2x4's on end. This increased the gap and only took abou 20 minutes to change the mounting brackets around. Plus it's a helluva lot cheaper then replacing anything...

THE SWAMP DONKEY- New Pics Paint/Floor/Electrical

I can't tell from the pics, but if your wiring conduit is not welded to your frame, flip your u-bolt and slide the flat plate between the frame and conduit. you can always wire tie the conduit to your brackets then trim off the excess u-bolt for a cleaner look.

Anyone else pull tubes/skiers with your tins?

I've had my 16ft flat bottom with a 35 up to 23mph with my kids on a tube. It takes a minute to get up to speed, but holds it very well. The only thing negative is, when I turn too sharp, the boat wants to drift at a scarey angle. I am going to change my prop to a holeshot pitch and see if it...

    Best onboard charger

I just talked to a guy that bought a minkota 2 bank 5 amps per bank and he said it did the job. I do like the one on the link you just posted, I'll read up on it alittle more cause I like the 10 amps better than 5. Thanks, Jay

    aluminum vs steel prop

If your gonna be around rocks and stumps, go with alluminum. If not you stand a good chance of snapping a shaft.

Yours might have a stainless screw instead of this nice rusty one, and the pic is sideways, but you should have one on the passenger side of the motor. Just unhook the line from your quick connect and hook the fuel line from your tank to this, and you'll be on your way.. Sorry it took so long. Jay

I'll take one and post it this evening. Just remember yours might be in a different location.

You would have to bypass the quick connect fuel fitting on the motor to do this. Just disconnect the fuel line from your pump and hook up the hose straight from your tank. It' won't take 2 minutes and should only require a screw driver. I had to do it during a tubing trip with my kids, I never...

I tried chokong it, but it didn't work. I found a wiring diagram on here, I just need to print it out so I can bring it out to the garage.

    1973 25hp Johnson

I just picked up a little boat and got a 25 hp Johnson with it. I got the motor running, but the wiring harness is shot. Nobody can seem to find one, so does anyone know where I can get a diagram so I can just replace the wires myself. Some of the wires still have color on them, but most are...

    Center Consoles

Thank you, I would have never thought about that. I'll have to keep my eyes open for an old tool box or something like it. I do have a metal shop down the road, so if I can't find one when I'm ready, I'll just buy a piece big enough and bend it myself.

    Center Consoles

Well if you trim up the edges and carpet that, it won't look bad at all. That's about all I really need, I'm just trying to figure out how I'll mount mine. I will try and post some pics on here tomorrow.
