    Noob question on seam sealing.

Gluvit is outstanding. It is known as a tin boats best friend. I used it for the first time this spring. I could not be more happy. It is not cheap. The end result and the appearance will make you happy. Terry Sandlin

New Alumacraft very soon. V14, or MV 1448

Dear BrazosDon, Your Lonestar looks very similar to my 14ft 6in Lonestar. I do not know the year or model. If your boat is 14ft 6in, what model and year is your boat? The closest I have been able to find for my boat model is possibly a Commander. Thanks, Terry Sandlin

    self etching primer vs primer

Thanks for all the help. I do have the "Self-etching" primer by Rustoleum. Interestingly, the only place that carries it in Topeka, Kansas is Walmart. Also, it is in the auto section and not the paint section of the store. Terry

    self etching primer vs primer

I will be using self etching primer on the bare spots of my previously painted aluminum boat. Can I use regular RustOleum primer over the self etching primer after it dries? Is RustOleum Aluminum primer the same as self etching primer? Thanks for all your help! Terry

Do I need a hardner and primer

I am painting over previous paint on my aluminum boat. Is it necessary to add hardner to the paint (Rust Oleum Paint or Majic Paint from Tractor Supply)? I will be painting over a paint that feels like a 800 grit or finer sandpaper. I am not interested in restoring the boat to its original...

    JB MarineWeld?

A LOT of boat owners have used 3M 5200 (cure in 7 days) or 3M 5200 fast cure (cure in 24 hours). They dob it on the rivet before riveting. If you do a search on 5200 and boat rivets you will get a lot of supportive information.

    3M 5200 Question

3M 5200 cures by moisture. If you want to speed up the cure, make certain that you have high humidity or a moist environment.
