Lowe 14' flat bottom 6' wide mods needed (COMPLETE) *PICS*

Yes, Ive been pumping it out and refilling at the same time. I can't do it continuously though because it pumps out faster than it pumps in, so I let it get really full and then start pumping it out until I think all of the water has been replaced and then I switch them off.

Lowe 14' flat bottom 6' wide mods needed (COMPLETE) *PICS*

Yeah, I probably spent about 1200 or so, but that is including the new trolling motor, battery charger, and the inverter, livewell, etc, all that stuff probably put me at about 1200-1300.

Lowe 14' flat bottom 6' wide mods needed (COMPLETE) *PICS*

Do you have a pump at the transom for filling? Yes, if you look at the deck pictures in the back where I have the hatches open, you can just see the pump back there, I have a hose that runs all the way up and ends at that yellow pvc pipe you see sticking out, it also has a valve on it. You can...

Lowe 14' flat bottom 6' wide mods needed (COMPLETE) *PICS*

Thanks everyone. I checked and I don't have any pics of just the trailer. I can try and take some pics underneath the boat maybe, or at best the next time I go out I can take some pics after I launch. Oh and our first camping trip, the wife pulled this fish in, her first big fish.

Its all done, this is the completed boat. Thanks too all those who helped out with suggestions and advice. Rear Deck Back wall with inverter and battery gauge. On board battery charger for 3 batteries. Front deck with trolling motor port, battery gauge, and switch panel for the...

    Inverter!! Where is yours grounded?

Ok, so I will just run the a wire from the ground terminal on the inverter to the negative side of the battery that my inverter is connected to. To my knowledge I don't have a ground terminal for the boat.

    Perko switch

Bye golly, thats a **** good idea. I'm having one of those smack my forehead moments wondering why I didn't think of that. I blame fatigue lol. I'm so ready to be done with this project.

    Perko switch

My next question. My trolling motor suggested using a 50 am circuit breaker which I bought, from the looks of it I would have to have two of them in using this switch, and even then I'm not sure that it would work because the setup is completely different. The trolling motors guide to...

    Inverter!! Where is yours grounded?

Well. the inverter has a positive and negative terminal of course, and each goes to their corresponding battery terminal. Then just below those two there is a little post on the inverter marked Ground. The instructions with the inverter just say to hook it up to your boats ground. I've read some...

    Inverter!! Where is yours grounded?

Those of you that have an inverter installed, I'm wondering where you grounded it? I was thinking or attaching it to some of my wooden supports in the back of the boat. Is that sufficient? Or should I attach it to a bolt somewhere on the boat?

    how to wire this switch?

Ahh got it, ok thanks alot. I remember seeing that little gold connector at the bottom. It makes sense now, I just need to get one of those spade connectors.

    how to wire this switch?

Ok I have a wire say coming from my aerator pump, and there is a gray wire labled aerator. Does I connect the aerator wire to the gray wire? If so then where does power come in to the switch from the battery?

    how to wire this switch?

Just looking at this thing, it seems it would be simple, but there are only one open wire for each switch. I know I need one wire coming from my accessory to the switch, and a wire going from the switch to the battery, but there is only one wire with a small connector on each switch. Do I shove...

    Perko switch

Yup, that tells me the ground wire from the motor goes to the negative terminal on the battery like I was thinking. I knew everything but that. It was probably pretty obvious to some, but I just like to make sure :)

    Perko switch

I have a Perko switch, and just trying to make sure I'm understanding the instructions right, because they aren't very specific. My plan is to run all the electronics except the Trolling motor and the main motor on one battery. One battery for the trolling motor, and one just for starting the...

    1969 Merc 200 20 hp

Yeah I had no idea what mix ratio to use either. I did a search and basically just went with the most common answer for most older motors that size. I can't even remember now what it was to be honest. If I looked at the chart on the oil bottle I may remember. I would say its highly likely the...

    1969 Merc 200 20 hp

I bought some of the seafoam stuff at lunch, and I will check those connections when I get home and see if I can find where all the leaking is coming from. I know everytime I grab the bottom to lift the motor up when I'm moving it. I get it all over my hands. When you say run a whole tank...

    1969 Merc 200 20 hp

Well I think I found a place to buy parts, just need an idea of what to replace, and hopefully I can find some sort of manual somewhere. I'm not a mechanic, but I have done a lot to engines myself just using a manual.

    1969 Merc 200 20 hp

Ok I have another question about this motor. When I was trying to start it before, I was unaware of the special qualities of a "cranking" battery, so I was using one of my deep cells. Before I replaced the spark plug it would turn the engine over for quite a while but eventually only lasted...

Installing a live well pump (basspirator)

Yup you were right. I never realized how high these things sit in the water. I was expecting it to be very close, but it wasn't. If you look at my pics in the other thread of the aerator pump hole coming out the transom, you see how low it is, and my GF said when she leaned over the back of the...
