Popped all 3 rivets on the front and now have stress fracture in one of the corners. This mount is junk! :) Going to probably have a friend just weld it up maybe reinforce it a little bit.. I'll take pictures once we figure it out.

Your boat should have a capacity/load tag on it somewhere.

Don't giveup looking for cheap alum. decking..you should be able to get a 4x4 sheet of .125 5052 for under 100$.

Can anyone recommend the perfect rod holders for a mv 1648? I would like at least 6 holsters and Spend most of my time either trolling for walleye or fishing for catfish. I've considered drift master and folbe, but I like some of the custom stuff as well, just don't want to pay 400 for it...

I used my flasher battery on my 898ci the other day and it died after a few hours. I don't remember exactly how many hours, maybe around 3 or 4. Using the SI on those things really draws a lot of power I'm guessing.

In that price range I would be looking at a Alumacraft riveted jon boat.. Welded boats will be 2x what you're willing to spend I imagine, and with a 25hp pushing a riveted boat will be a lot nicer than a welded one that is a lot heavier.

and those paying attention will also notice that I mounted the bracket on wrong to the boat.. gotta flip it now :)

yeah it sticks over about 6" or so, not a big deal for me really.. If you were looking to do this for a boat that sat in a dock, you might make sure the TM hangs over the opposite side you usually dock on. Thanks everybody else, glad you liked it..
