I've been wearing Ray Bans for 20+ years....awesome polarized lenses and **** durable...buy the Italian made ones, not the Chinese ones (yes, they sell both and yes, there is a difference). They typically run about $160 a pair and Ray Ban has a repair/replacement program as well....

Family, friends and I went to Ensenada, BC, Mexico last week for vacation....took my 14'er down to fish around the Punta Banda area, south of Ensenada. Fished 5 of the 7 days we were there and caught upwards of 150 fish, with most released. We did keep a mixture of about a dozen sand bass...

So, this week, I tackled changing the water pump in my old-ish Johnny...with the help of the internet and West Marine, I was able to get it all apart and change the pump with no real issues arising (changed the whole thing, impeller, housing, seals, etc, because I don't know when the last time...

I take my 14' tinny to San Diego Bay all the time...got an old 25hp Johnson and a saltwater TM....none of them have EVER given me a problem due to the saltwater. I pull it through a coin-op car wash after every trip and spend 20-30 minutes washing everything off, but other than that, nothing...

Here in my little corner of the world, the average daytime temp during the summer is 110-115 degrees (Southeastern CA desert)....I catch most of my fish during the summer months...I question my sanity when I'm out fishing in those conditions, but that's another issue... :LOL2:
