New Alumacraft V16 Build - Consoles, Electronics, Trailer

With skills like that, I'd be building a boat from scratch.

That's a serious display of skill!

    Concealed Carry

I've had a CC permit here in NH for years, but now they removed the requirement. There is still adavantages to having one, but I haven't looked into why yet. My EDC is a Kahr MK9 now. I'm so done with huge guns for carry these days. Here's my OC gun. I never go into the woods without her...

    My New Coach Gun

Indeed. I've done H&Rs, and NEF shotguns and they weren't this bad.

    My New Coach Gun

I had this gun in the safe for about 3 years before I got the chance to rebuild it. I'm always looking for a new gun project. Sometimes, as I am going through the used racks at my local gunshop, I'll pick something up with the sole intent of a rebuild. This one was waiting in the wings for a a...

    Best interior coating

My last boat had carpet. It was nice when I wanted to go barefoot, or when the wife came with me. As far as keeping clean and looking nice, it was the suck. I'm rebuilding a boat now, and it'll have Grizzly Grip in it.

    Grumman CFS Project

I was wondering about that. I do like how a plywood floor will dampen noises.

    My New Coach Gun

Just wanted to post a pic of my latest prize, a Stevens 311A side-by-side 12-gauge. I did a full-on resto/recon/transformation to it, and you can follow the progress here: https://www.ar15.com/forums/t_6_1/367549_Project__Bobbing_a_Side_by_Side____Complete_and_Tested___.html

If I decide to install an aluminum diamond plate floor, what thickness do you guys think I should get?

    Grumman CFS Project

Gaaah! :? After a couple days of deliberating, I am still undecided on what it is that I want. I guess you cant have a boat that will do all of the things you want it to do, especially if your fishing tastes go from one end of the spectrum to the other. One day I am standing in water up to...

    Grumman CFS Project

Hi everyone, I got this 10' Grumman, and I am thinking of removing the front two benches, and installing a floor. I'll sink a Swivl-Eze pedestal base approximately where the red "X" is on the pic. I'll leave the rear bench. My concerns are whether or not the removal of the seats will cause the...

    Your bottom feeder status??

I guess I must be the bottom feeder that feeds off what all the other bottom feeders miss, and I got a golden horseshoe crammed up my behind or something. I bought two brand new - in the box - new handheld Magellen GPS units from Eastern Mountain Sports for 98 cents apiece. When they go...

THIS is what happens when you watch Craigslist every day

LOL screw that boat (well done, by the way) I want to see that truck!

    What seats are you using?

Cheap -AND- comfortable seats? I doubt such a creature exists. Let's put it this way - the cheap and comfortable seats on my current boat will not be making the transfer to my new boat. I'm actually thinking of going with the big man size seats to see if they are any more comfortable.

    Taurus Judge

If I bought one, the very first thing I would do is change out that doggone-fuggly grip.

    Poor man aluminum welding?

I've studied metals and corrosion types in tech school. Some aluminum and titanium alloys actually contain a percentage of tin and antimony, so I doubt that there will be any issues with galvanic corrosion. I've also used this stuff. Its great for welding up cracks in a boat, but dont expect...

How are you guys sanding your boats for paint?

Hmmm... I wonder if you can use zip strip or another brand of paint remover -and- a pressure washer? Other than the crap left over burning holes in my lawn, I cant see a down side to this. Anyone care to comment? Hey that stuff is petroleum based though, isnt it?

I was right! There was an other one!

I'm surprised that the guy that previously owned that boat was not a Darwin Award statistic.

    home defence shotguns

Also, for you guys looking for a pretty impressive shotgun, check out the new Kel-tec: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPGT0JWqtFo FWIW, this gun seems to have the best of everything. Shortness of length, high round-capacity, pistol grip, AND a shoulder stock. What's not to like? (Other than...
