Hi. I'm pretty new to the forum, I've posted a few time but not that much. Anyways, I just picked up my new 1542 and I have a lot of ideas/plans for it, most of which I stole from you guys. Here are some pics, and I'll be installing some stuff on it this week so I'll have more updates. Right now it just has a Yamaha 9.9 on it.

Randy I have the same boat with a Merc 9.9. I would suggest using the boat for this season as it is then you will know for sure what permanent mods you want to make. Have fun and catch lots of fish.

Thanks for the advice. I'm only making small mods right now, no cutting huge holes or installing decking yet. Only the basic stuff like rod holders, fish finder mounts, trolling motor mounts, and a few others. I actually went out fishing in it for the first time today, didn't have any luck catching fish, but I love the boat.

Got the trolling motor, fish finder, and lights on this week. Mounted a 2x3 with two 3/8" bolts and tee nuts. Took it out saturday night, and everything works great.
