3.5 gamefisher parts

First, thanks to everyone who posts on here. i am a kindred spirit when it comes to fixing up boats. I have done two with another in the works. this is my first post.

I just bought a 3.5 game fisher outboard for a song off craigslist. Its model # 217-58541 i think its a 1971.

My question to you profesional & partime weekend boat warriors is where could i find a carb kit? is there a website somewhere?

It starts but isnt running great after that. thought i would go through it. Thanks in advance, ill hang up and listen now.

Perfect. I called them, they had it. (its a 1979 not 71) and were helpfull and friendly.

I didnt end up needing that carb kit. i took the carb apart, cleaned it. Fresh fuel and it runs amazingly well for a 1979 model engine. It will idle down incredibly low, starts on half a pull. Very fortunate.

Now i am sure i will end up buying another boat for it!
