Fishing 5 to 9,what a way to spend an evening.
Kinda like Dolly Parton,except male and no boobs to speak of.
Skipped supper to go try my luck,ended up landing 8 pickerels and 6 smallmouth.
As usual,there were acouple that slammed at a buzzbait only to miss it and a few followers that scared the crap out of me,right at the boat when I lift my lure out the water.Boils as big as small cars
,atleast the ones that you don't catch are that big.
Having a up and down season,weather wize that is.Right now the water is warmer then the air tempeture and the water was only 68F.I think most smallies are finishing up their spawn and hitting the spinnerbait hard.They were the hardest fighting fish of this year.Every smallie I caught danced across the water,it was one of those fun evenings,the pickerel pulled hard tonight as well.
Biggest smallie was alittle over 2lbs and I actually weighed my biggest pickerel;4lbs 10 and around 25"s.
