Attaching transducer to trolling motor

Best bet is to run with two death finders. I put my best hummingbird on the trolling motor and use the older one with the tansducer off the transom. Better safe then unlucky. Even as long as I've been hitting the lakes the water levels are always changing.
 
You mean versus mounting at the other end, or just mounting to the TM in general?

I have probably the same transducer(dual beam) mounted on mine for a 565 and a 788. Works good. I wouldn't worry about a TM kit either. Just use your transom bracket to mount it. I had a bracket designed for the TM and it broke the first time out. I fish some rough stuff though, stumps, limbs, etc. I used my original transom bracket with two radiator style hose clamps. Works good.
