bunk question

i have an older (62) 12' semi v it has the drain in the floor of the boat and a baffle or guard on the underside of the hull right where the trailer bunks line up . if i line up the back of the boat with the rear of the bunks the boat doesn't sit straight on that bunk . would i be better off letting about 6" of the boat hang off the bunks or should i notch the one bunk ?

Any chance of moving the bunk inboard or outboard to clear the drain?
