Been busy fishing other lakes but Finally got my new to me 1542 in the water. Absolute bare bones electric motor only boat. Nothing fancy, cheap Lowe’s carpet on the benches. Rigid foam between the ribs and 3/8 rubber mat over that. That’s about it. Need nothing else on a boat for this purpose. It will get used hard and take a beating. Of course I have a way comfy seat for my rear end and a clamp on seat I’ll put on if I take a passenger. Run and old 24 volt Terrova up front that needs the shaft cut down and a 50 pound minn kota on transom. Takes me 25 minutes to get where I like to fish. Big difference from my old sears narrow 14 footer. Super nice to have the room especially will be nice for when the grand kids go.
