My trolling motor stopped working, got it apart and the magnets came lose from the housing. I took it all apart and cleaned it up. When I put it back together I have nothing. Brushes and armeture seem ok. I'm not sure if I put the magnets back the way they came out, does it matter or any other help would be appreciated.

Magnets have a north and south or + and - to them so it's possible you put the magnets in wrong. You would need the magnets opposite of each other. For example, install the left side with north facing away from you and install the right side with north facing you. If the motor runs backwards simply rotate the housing 180 degrees. So the left side north would be facing you. You can use another magnet to tell if they are installed right or not. Remember north repels north and south repels south, opposites attracts.

Hope this helps.
