Anybody tried this?

Thinking of using it to glue a piece of plastic to the stern for Transducer mounting.

The boat builders epoxy of choice for as far back as I can remember is Gougeon Bros, AKA West System. You can purchase different hardeners, fillers, thickeners, etc as needed. It costs a little more, but it's the best and your project isn't going to come apart on you.
 
Just use 3M 5200. Sand both pieces an tape the plastic to the boat. Leave it for at least a week. It does take that long if you get the normal 5200. If you get the fast cure. I don't think it holds as well. It cures in 24 hours. Then you can mount the transducer right away.
