mid 90's Johnson 115HP info

I found a boat locally that has this motor but says "oil injection disconnected". Why is this done? Is it ok to buy a motor like this? I assume the oil is just mixed w/gas. Is this year (1994 boat) motor reliable? It is at a dealer so I can see any test info they did before taking as a trade-in.
